Dear all,

Newbie here, reporting an issue that has been surfacing here apparently back in May 2014. Here is the screen shot:
https://goo.gl/photos/i5TDc7kwZVWADmeY6

This boils down to the 'javax.net.ssl.sslpeerunverifiedexception no peer certificate' error that has many descriptions but seldom good answers rather than rebuilding the app from source using their corrections.

This is reference in this forum, no follow-ups.
https://www.myibidder.com/forums/viewtopic/5986/connection-error-no-peer-certificate/

On another phone (newer one) it works okay.
This phone is Samsung Galaxy S4 mini I9195, rooted, Android 4.2.2. Please help! :)
Thank you!

Can you open https://www.myibidder.com/ from your phone?
When you say "this phone", do you mean the phone where it does not work?

Also, it's not clear what version of the app do you use. Please check.

Hi,

I'm also experiencing the same issue on latest play store app version "connection error:javax.net.ssl.SSLPeerUnverifiedException: No peer certificate"

on phone browser I'm getting error "your connection is not privet" "the server could not prove that it is www.myibidder.com"

Your system browser and the app use the same certificate.
Please check the app again. If it still does not work, please take a screenshot and contact support directly.

The 'newer' phone is SONY Xperia Z C6602, Android v4.4.4 build 10.5.1.A.0.292 (as by sony), rooted stock rom. Your app works on that one.

Thank you for following up, and I would do my best to help out with whatever diagnostics needed.

I don't need information on the phone where it works, it won't help anyway.
Please include info from where phone where it does not work.

Dear Sashka,
Thank you for your support. I did try to open the site https://www.myibidder.com with the system's browser. It did open up. Then I went to the App Manager, did force stop, deleted cache, deleted app data, moved to SD card. Rebooted. :Started the app, logged in, wholia, it all works now.

I am not certain it could be regarded as a panacea, but it did work for me. Thank you!

Evgeny.

I had a temporary certificate before. Now I have a permanent. The new one is from another authority.
It appears your Android is missing some root certificates which are normally installed on Android.

You could've install the correct root certificate, but it does not matter right now.
