In the past when I place a snipe bid it always showed my max bid amount on the ebay item page when I would check on an item. I have an item i placed a snipe bid on ending in 6 hours and no matter what i do it will not show on the ebay page. has there been updates or something like that. How do I know that my bid is registering with ebay now?

If you need to check your snipe, you can always login to http://www.myibidder.com/ and manage it there.

If you don't see it on the item's page, that means that you either not logged in to the sniper, or there are some layout changes which affected it.
It looks fine on my side, so it's probably not the layout changes or eBay put some changes specifically to your account (probably due to some testing).
