updating of bid prices Sun May 11, 2008 07:15 AM Quote

Hi,

Does your web-based system update the bid price when the list is updated?

The reason for this query is that I'm watching an item which on my ebay watch list is currently GBP3.23 and your list displays the current bid as GBP0.20 - which was the bid price when I placed my snipe.

Could this be because I use the www.ebay.co.uk website?

Regards

Hi,

next time I'll read the FAQs before I post!!

would it be worthwhile to add a note as to which fields are updated every time the "update all" button is clicked - maybe an asterisk on the column header with a note.

Hello johnb,

I think you are right. I changed this button to "Update Status" to better understand what is it for.
Thanks for your suggestion.

None of my prices will update =(

It used to work though.
I think the only difference is that my list went from about 5 items to about 50

Do I need a small list to insure updating?
The price isn't important to me, I'm just concerned that other pieces, like checking my price vs actual price when sniping is working. I'd test it out but I'm not rich enough to be buying random items. =)

Also,

when you select a record/row/auction (whatever the lingo is), then click "update status" (which pops up, "update all"), it deletes the record.

I won't do it anymore (obviously=), just thought I'd say something.

(this is the server myibay sniper)

Snipe does not need to check the actual price. Snipe is just a bid, it's not related to the current price.

This is how it should work actually.
This checkbox is for deleting items (it's right under "X" button).
If you don't want to delete, do not check this box.
