I tried to place a bid last week on an item (I do not have the item number anymore) but it did not get placed even though it was $10 above the winning bid "password incorrect"
When I checked under settings my password seems to be 14 characters long (my password is 7)..I tried to change it but it defers back to the 14 setting. I did and uninstall/reinstall with no success.
It keeps telling me I have no items in my Ebay watch list (I do)
Any suggestions

The settings never shows your password. I think you are confused with something else.
Just login using the same eBay user id and password you use to login to eBay, so it will sync it automatically.

Ok...I am hallucinating then. Let's try again,
I set a snipe way above what the winning bid eventually was. It did not get placed due to "incorrect Ebay password"
I go to SETTINGS and see 14 dots (yes, the password was not there but a representation of it was
I change the password to my correct Ebay password..it shows 7 dots (yes, not the password but a representation of same)
I hit apply..shows 7 dots....I close and reopen...settings...14 dots...keeps reverting to some incorrect password
Suggestions? Oh, and my Ebay password has been the same for quite some time and I am entering it correctly and it works on Ebay
Still will not access my watch list to load items no items on watch list"...(there are items)
I have used this program MANY times but not in recent months. This is a new issue....

The 14 dots you see is not your password, this is encrypted representation of it only. It does not show your password (and its length) for security reasons.
As I mentioned before, all you need to do is to login using your current eBay user id and password. Once you logged in, it will sync your password automatically.

Ok...maybe it's simple me but...when I open the program it has me already logged in and I can enter items
So, I logged out and re-logged in (saved password) and I am back at square one....nothing in my "watched items" list and, I am sure, an incorrect password when I try a snipe.
Any other suggestions to what I am doing wrong. Again, I have used this program MANY times in the past with success. IT IS A NEW ISSUE...

If you typed your current eBay password and was able to login, you should be fine.
The best way to verify is to try to access your Watch List. If it will show you "You have 3 items" or something like that, it can login to your eBay account.
If not, then maybe you still use your old password or there is something wrong with your eBay account after all. Please let me know your eBay user id (no password) so I could check.

1- I agree...I SHOULD be fine...but I am not
2)- I said multiple times it does NOT show my watched items list...Ebay does
3)- I also said that there is nothing wrong with my using Ebay. I just bought something yesterday (no snipe)

As you probably aware, you enabled secure token on your account.
The sniper does not have this information so it has no way to login.
If you don't let the sniper to login, it will not be able to access your Watch List or bid on your behalf. That's not possible technically.
You need to either disable secure token (your eBay account has no financial information anyway), or create a brand new eBay account without the secure token for sniping purposes only.

Thank you. That makes sense. I think it a bit extreme to abandon my Ebay account of 10 or so years so I guess snipe is out.

You don't need to abandon it. Just create another one for sniping purposes only.
You are allowed to have multiple eBay accounts as long as you don't bid on your own items.
