Myibidder not working Sat Jul 20, 2013 10:21 PM Quote

I have been using this programme to win items on ebay for about 5 years. I had a new laptop earlier this year so had to download it recently when I was looking to buy some items but the programme does not ever make the bids and I don't know why. My bid is registered on ebay but I have lost several items and I am getting frustrated as I always got on so well with this programme and there isn't another one which works as well. Help please.

You did not include the item number in question, so I can't tell you exactly what happened.
But if you said your bid is registered but you are not winning, that's probably because your bid is too low. The highest bidder wins on eBay.

I have been buying from ebay for years and fully understand the idea that the highest bid wins the item - that is why I like to use a sniper. I placed the bid about six hours before the auction ended and the winning bid was £0.29 less than my bid of £5.79. The item number was 321161501047. I have 6 items listed in the record of my snipes and only two were sold to a bid higher than mine.

If you check the status of your snipe, you will see the following reason:
"Refused login (password problem?)".

It seems like you changed your eBay password recently, but you keep using your old password to login to the sniper.
The sniper can't bid on your behalf and access your Watch List without having your current login information.
You should always login using your current eBay user id and password in order to keep it in sync.

Hi, I am getting the same email message. "Refused login (password problem?)". I did change my password a month or so back when eBay info was accessed, but have also changed it in myibidder. Myibidder can access my watch list, and it does bid sometimes, but then at other times I get this message?

rapbling_chick,
There was an issue on eBay's side, which seems to be resolved as of now:

Jeil,
Please check my response above. This is the reason why your snipe was affected.
