Conflict with eBay Sidebar for Firefox? Sun Mar 10, 2013 06:07 PM Quote

Since I started adding snipes with Myibidder, my eBay Sidebar will still show my active watch list, but no longer connects to ebay via rover.ebay when I click the item thumbnail or the links.

Is this a conflict with Myibidder screwing up Ebay Sidebar?

BTW, I can access the ebay pages for the items I'm snipping through Myibidder, but Myibidder does not show the items I'm watching on Ebay sidebar but not snipping.

The problem is that my Ebay sidebar reflects my watch list, but no longer connects to Ebay, so I can not check the ebay pages for my watch items via Ebay Sidebar for Firefox.

None of the other Sidebar functions connect either, such as the link to MyEbay, Ebay homepage, etc., etc.

I'm not sure I understood you completely.
What do you mean by "connects"? There is nothing to connect really.

Anyway, the Myibidder does not do anything outside of its own interface (whenever you see www.myibidder.com in the address bar).
If you installed Myibidder add-on for your Firefox browser, you can try to disable it and check.
You can also disable other add-ons and enabled them one by one to see which one is causing the issue. I can say for sure that Myibidder does not change any links, so it's probably something else.

My meaning is that the official "eBay Sidebar for Firefox" will no longer load the ebay pages when I click the links in the eBay Sidebar. In particular, the photo thumbnails of the auctions I'm watching but not yet bidding on, and the link of the truncated description and price to the right of the thumbnail.

These links open a new Firefox tab from ebay that will no longer load beyond a blank page. This started happening when I started using Myibidder to snipe a few auctions.

I can also ask in the ebay forums if they are having conflicts with your software, if you want me to. I thought it would be better to ask you first.

As I mentioned before, the easiest way to check for the conflict is to disable Myibidder add-on in your Firefox browser. Please do and see if that will make any differences.
If you see the same issue with Myibidder disabled, that means Myibidder has nothing to do with and the root of the issue is somewhere else.
You can still ask on eBay forums, but mentioning Myibidder will not make any sense since you tried to disable it with the same results.
