After I started using the web interface quite a bit, I started noticing on various bids that it doesn't snipe to the next highest bid, rather it sometimes jumps straight to the max bid!

e.g. http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBids&item=261163348659&showauto=true

The next highest bid after 1.20 was 1.40, and your sniper bid to my max at £3!

I thought your FAQ's say it should be next highest??

I've noticed this on other snipes too, but sometimes it also works correctly.

That's because somebody else bid higher. You should refresh the bid history if you don't see a higher bid.
What FAQ section are you referring to?
