myibidder interface questions Thu Nov 08, 2012 01:43 PM Quote

Enjoy the app so far and have one many more auctions that I would never have won before. With that, I have a couple of questions with the interface.

1. Why does the value in the My Bid column say 'no' at times? My snipe amount is higher then the current bid. Will the app still bid on my behalf when 'no' shows?

2. After an auction ends the interface will show 'My Status' next to the won or lost auction in the interface. Sometimes the 'My Status' does not show. Why?

3. Pretty sure my snipe bid was higher then the winning bid on item 400335045640. Why was a bid not made on my behalf.

Thank you for the great software and any help you can provide.

1. That means your snipe is not set for this item.

2. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the "My Status" to come up. If the auction just finished, you need to refresh the page.
Also, it will not show anything if the snipe was not set.

3. The snipe is not active for it. It looks like you put several items in the Group with limit "1" item to win only, so it cancelled all snipes after it won the first one.
If that's not what you wanted to do, please check the following FAQ sections on how to use Groups:

What is Groups feature:

Thank you for the explanations. This software is very easy to setup and to use. However, all of my issues resulted from not understanding / failure to read the faq's on the group features. (Nice feature btw..). I thought the groups feature was a filtering mechanism when viewing current / past auctions. Now that I know, I should be in line to win more auctions. Thanks again

Well, if you set no limits, then Groups will work as a filtering feature for you.
You can change the setting for each Group individually or make it globally for each new Group by changing the value in Profile (the global value will affect newly created Groups only).
