To be clear, you are referring to the on-line function, not the stand-alone software?
It is confusing with similar names for both. A distinctive name for each is needed.

videobruce,
The stand-alone software uses Myibidder service anyway, so it's not relevant in this case.

Ok, I'm confused. Then the software is just doing what one would/could so by visiting the site and setting up snipes??
If so, why use the software?
For anyone that is concerned about security and privacy and prefers to use software rather than a web based interface, how would you respond to that?

I was concerned about usernames & passwords stored on a server other than eBay, but I now see that info is deleted after a period of time.
I only asked because some people I know (not necessarily myself) are more concerned about security than others.
Separate question, just so I understand since I never used a software program that is a interface to web based bidding before;
If I use the software, after I setup my snipes, I can close out the program and shut down the PC and the website will go ahead with the snipes?

I see the advantage.
You sold me. I received my registration code.
It seems there are more web based services than software only programs in the past year. Is this because of all the problems with changes on eBay and lost snipes (among other things)?

Myibidder never had software-only sniping product. I personally see no advantages over it.
Myibidder is a long-time player on the market so it's not a big concern if you do your own research first to make sure it's legit.
I know many users won't be able to keep the software running on their PC all the time, make sure the connection is stable enough, local time adjustments and many other little things you have to remember about.
Imagine if you have a snipe coming this weekend while you are away for several days. You have to burn all that electricity just to find out that you lost the snipe because your Internet went down.
Our goal is to make it as easy as possible -- just add an item, set your maximum and... you are done.

I fully understand the concept. I don't like running a PC all the time anyway. Most are power hogs anyway.
