No eBay search results in your browser. Sun Jul 29, 2012 09:32 PM Quote

the last days I've seen many times that the bidder told me:

No eBay search results in your browser.

I could add those items without problems directly, via the id and bid. But I could not add them as usual.

Example: http://www.ebay.de/itm/330770858539

Worked fine for me. Did you see this error message before login or after login?
Also, eBay redirected me to another link after I clicked yours. Please double-check that you provided me with the correct link you see when you click "Snipe it".

I saw the error message while I was logged in and could place other bids before and after, for other items.

It was was a shortened URL, instead of the very long original one.
I do not get a redirect for the link as given before.

And I still get the error message.

I think I was able to find the issue. Seems like eBay had some weird behavior and it returned the message that item was removed.
I did some work-around this issue so it should work fine now.
Please check when you have a moment.

Thanks!

I had the issue an hour ago somewhere else.

I'll tell you if it happens again.

I don't know whether it's a perfectly unrelated problem, but now "snipe these" does return an empty window with just

Thanks for the link. This is for Completed listings, so it did not expect it.
I added this type of link anyway, but please note that adding completed listings is not really useful with the sniper.

Nice oscilloscope, btw. I'm looking to buy it myself for the last year or so. Still did not decide if I really need it :-)

Ah, sorry, my mistake then!

Yes, a nice toy. I wonder how useful it is. See e.g. http://toolboom.com/en/Articles/DSO-Nano-DSO201-Pocket-Sized-Digital-Oscilloscope-Review.html

I was told that there will be no improvements, due to current smartphone apps (for higher resolution, higher sampling rate). But those apps I know do support audio in only. At least these were two channels. But max. 48 kHz is not enough for many jobs, where even those 1 Msps of the MP3 oszis are very limited.

Yeah, that's what stops me too -- 1Msps is not enough for my tasks.
Then I started to look to something USB connected, but many of them are for Windows only while I wanted to be Mac and Windows compatible.
Luckily, I play with digital stuff only, so I may get over with logic analyzer instead maybe. Not sure if it's cheaper though..

Thanks for the link, it was interesting.

Typical logical analyzers have tons of channels. Personally, I'd be happy enough with up to four only.

In former times the serial port was some kind of multi purpose unit with rather direct access. Unfortunately, todays serial high speed interfaces have too much intelligence in between.

There should be some "simple" CPU with 1 GHz speed, which could track a digital input at that speed, just tracking time and logical value, for some number of time or signal changes. But I don't know any yet.
