This has happened to me before so I stopped using Myibidder. Tried it again and alas lost the auction even though I was by was the highest bidder.
The winning bid was £84.00 and my snipe was for £91.66. What gives? Granted I set the snip to 4 seconds but surely you should remove the option if the program can not cope with it.
I can only assume slow servers on your side or biased snipping to others.

You did not include the item number in question so I can't give you any exact answer.
Not sure why you blame 4 seconds setting and suggest to remove it.
All settings are for user's better choice. There are recommended values too, but you are free to pick your own if you think your setting is better than recommended.
The recommended value is 5-10 seconds.
The sniper is well capable to do snipes even at 1 second value. However, there are many other factors which you have to keep in mind: such as external network failures, lags, eBay issues, etc.
If you check Myibidder terms, we do not provide 100% guarantee on all snipes because of the reasons I mentioned above.
For example, if eBay is down, then even 10 seconds would not work. The service is provided on AS IS basis and we do our best to provide the highest quality service as possible. But that's still not 100% guaranteed.
If you still feel that not giving 100% guarantee is not good enough, please feel free to check other snipers and compare. The choice must be yours, that's the beauty of Internet.
Let me know if you still have more questions or need more information. We are here to help.

This was the item number 270966885944
i would be interested to know why it failed for me. Like i say this has happened a few times before and obviously make me doubt it actually works. It is frustrating when you lose out even though you should have won.
I just need to understand the reason so I don't make the same mistake again if indeed it was my error.
Thanks.

Well that's certainly odd because I'm sure placed the snipe hours before the auction end.
Maybe I changed the time scale later on but that shouldn't have messed with the original snipe set if I did.
I will have to keep a close eye in future to see. maybe I'm mistaken it was a while ago now. lol

On a number of occasions I have used mybidder sniping from the Ebay webasite and the sniping nver happens and I lose the auction.
My last one was today, ebay no . 180882365844 .
which finished below my snipe price .
it was set about 3-4 mins before the end .
yet reports
My Status: Snipe is set too late, may not be able to execute
why does this not work when other snipe sites work OK at even shorter timescales.

ceedy44,
Setting up a snipe when auction is almost finished may or may not work. It's not guaranteed.
You set your snipe for item 180882365844 about 2 minutes before auction ended (133 seconds to be exact).
That's why you have to have your snipe ready at least several minutes in advance as listed in the FAQ section mentioned above. This way your snipe is guaranteed to be scheduled in the system.
