I bought myibay in September 2011. I recently had an email inviting me to update but I did not accept the offer. A day later when i opened myibay my items were deleted and a box opened to say I had myibay on a 31 day approval. I could not retieve the items I had on myibay so I tried to delete and reinstall the version I had purchased. It would not let me because it said I had the program running but it was not showing.
How can I get the version I purchased in September 2011 working and how can I retieve the intems I had stored on it?

Your message is a little confusing.
There is no "approval" process of any kind. We don't send invitations, so it was probably someone else. We don't delete your items unless these items are too old (I think we delete items 60 days and older).

If you had new items which you think were deleted, please make sure you login as that eBay user id you used last time. You will not see the same items if you login under a different eBay user id.

You are getting "31 day" thing is related to the trial version. It seems like you did not activate the software using the registration key which was sent by email to you after you purchased it.
You have to follow up the registration email or login using the same eBay user id you specified when made the purchase.

I am more confused than you. All I know is that I received a request from myibay to update to a new version at a cost i refused. Then, yesterday when I opened my myibay I found my entries missing and a new format. A separate box opened asking for my ebay login details and saying that my myibay was on a 31 day trial before it would be removed unless I register it and I assume pay for the new version. I tried to reinstall the version I purchased but I could not because it said myibay was already running. I closed all and it still would not reinstall. I tried to uninstall myibay on my computer but I could not because it claimed I had myibay running. Please tell me what I can do to reinstall the program I purchased 6 months ago?

All updates are free. You are probably confused with something else.

If you want to reinstall, you have to close the software. If it's said it's running, that means you did not close it. If you are not sure how to close it, you may reboot your PC so it will close it for sure.

You are not listening to me. I activated the myibay I bought 6 months ago. Then, what happened to the items I had loaded into my myibay? Why did I get another 31 day trial box when I accepted one 6 months ago?
I have since found myibay was pinned to my start menu. When I delete it I could reinstall and it seems to be working well.
I might add i am pleased with how it works and I will give you a donation.

You get 31 day trial box because your software is not activated now. You have to activate it the same way as you did it 6 months ago, or login using the same eBay user id you specified when made the purchase so the software will recognize you automatically. Either way will do.
