I don't see anything set to $40.05 on your account.
If you want to take a look at your snipe, please always include the item number.

What about 40.05? Is it the same thing?
If it is, then I see the following in "My Status" field:
"Extra confirmation (weak password?)"
I checked the logs and it seems that eBay refused your login. This usually happens for one of the following reasons:
1. Your password is not strong enough and triggered eBay's password protection system. Changing your password to something more secure should help.
2. A quick glitch on eBay's side. It happens rare, but unfortunately it happens. There is not much we can do about it. A good thing that eBay is doing a lot of things to have these glitches as less as possible.

I can still log into ebaY with no problem using the same password. Is that normal after this? Could it possibly be that I was watching the auction while logged into another ebaY account?
Thanks a lot for your input :]

Yes, it's normal that you can login.
In case of password being too weak: eBay refuse to login occasionally only, not all the time.
In case of temporary glitch: this is temporary and usually last from few seconds to a few minutes only.
Regarding being logged in. It used to be an issue about a year ago or so. I thought eBay fixed that, but I guess some accounts still have this issue. I would suggest to try to avoid using eBay when your auction is about to finish.
Or log out long time before auction finished if you still need to browse eBay.
