did you disable the function on purpose which group does contain new Messages?

First of all, there's the basic visited mechanism which might permit different colors for visited URLs - or advanced css options for alink & vlink.

Second, the vBulletin should permit to show new postings by different color, different logo or "new" marking.

I made a lot of customizations for vBulletin and did not enable some features back.
I agree that I should do "new messages", but I put it on a lower priority as this is mainly support forum.

I have some plans on a forum rework so I'll make sure I'll put this feature back.
