my idea is that if you do an ebay search, and click the button to snipe it (firefox), it adds all the items in that exact page to your buy thing..

That's in beta testing.
Meanwhile, you can add those items into your Watching list and then import it to your account.

another thing is to make it so you can select more than one item with the checkboxes and set them all to your snipe settings..

Every item is different (different seller, different shipping, different configuration etc). I would not want users to set the same snipe and then complain why sniper bid too high.
You have to go through each item individually and select your bid amount for each. This way you know for sure you are bidding exactly how much you wanted.

Try Windows application:
http://www.myibay.com/download/

Login and minimize it to the system tray (this is the default behavior).
Once you have auction opened in your browser, you can right-click on the icon in your system tray and click Add.
Once a pop-up came out, click in it and put your snipe amount, then click OK.

I do it when I need to add a several similar items.

The only thing is that I'm on linux & I can't exactly pay when the trial runs out...

Also, with the stand-alone app, does it need to be running for the bids to be placed?

(Btw thanks for making this, I won my first bid with it last night..)

I was afraid you are on Mac :-)
Unfortunately, I don't have any plans for Linux-based application right now as Linux can't support many "shortcuts" which Windows or Mac has.

No need to run it. This is just a client. Like a browser, but designed for myibay service.

Congratulations!

Anyway, I put your suggestion in my ToDo list and will see what I can do about it.

I personally do software design and forums support.
I don't use php as it can't handle a lot of load well.
Thanks for your offer anyway, I really appreciate it.

If you can tell others about this service, that would be a great help.
Thanks again.
