Am using the Firefox add on.
I found out about this when my mom's snipe didn't go off.
The auction ended at 6pm but the Snipe clock though it was finishing at 10pm
I went to have a look at auctions on my PC and when testing the snipe feature 4 hours were being added to the end times of my auctions also.
If it makes any different we're sniping from England for items based in England as well
Your location should not make any difference.
The "Snipe clock" shows eBay time, not your local time so this is normal.
If you did not win your auction, there are could be many reasons for it:
1. Your snipe was too low (you have to snipe higher or find another auction. You may want to consider using Groups).
2. You did not meet seller's requirements (seller does not ship to your country, your feedback is too low, etc).
3. You activate your snipe too late:

You can always check your snipe status in Snipe window when you login into myibay.com.
If you want me to check it for you, please let me know your item id and your eBay user id.
If you don't want to share it on this public forum, you can use the following Contact form.

1)The snipe was more than enough to win
2)was added well before the auction ended
3)and it was an english item shipped within england
this is happening on both mine and my mom's PC.
What's happening is ebay will say for example the item ends at 6pm. When I open the sniping window in firefox it'll tell me the item ends at 10pm. This is happening for all items on both our machines.
Will privately message the item number and the user name of my mom's ebay account (as that's the one that missed the snipe)
